3-26-25 THOUGHTS
Without getting too personal, the reading this morning blesses me. I hope it blesses you also.
The physical things of this world are not the source of victory. We hope for God’s loving kindness. Prayer comes easy when the needs are great. Our whole perspective changes. Nothing is taken for granted. Tears lubricate the process, like it or not. God is near, you just know it! And God is God, and we must know that! There is great comfort in all this. Pity the soul who has no Lord to wait for. We have experienced God’s Grace, Mercy and Love, for many years... may “Your loving kindness be upon us, according as we have hoped in You.”
Ps 33:12-22 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance. 13 The LORD looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men; 14 From His dwelling place He looks out On all the inhabitants of the earth, 15 He who fashions the hearts of them all, He who understands all their works. 16 The king is not saved by a mighty army; A warrior is not delivered by great strength. 17 A horse is a false hope for victory; Nor does it deliver anyone by its great strength. 18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, On those who hope for His lovingkindness, [Thank You for doctors, O God, but it isn’t doctors that can heal... it is You, Dear Father! JPR] 19 To deliver their soul from death And to keep them alive in famine. 20 Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield. 21 For our heart rejoices in Him, Because we trust in His holy name. 22 Let Your lovingkindness, O LORD, be upon us, According as we have hoped in You.
My Prayer:
O God, we thank You for choosing us in Christ Jesus. We are in your presence, You know us inside out. May our hope and trust always abide in you. Father God, may Your loving kindness be upon us according as we have hoped in You. May we ever flee to You as our Rock in times of difficulty. May Your eye be upon us, O Lord, as we live in fear and hope for Your grace and mercy and love. We pray in the name of our Risen Lord, Amen.
